Sacha Sauda is not a new religion, cult, sect or wave. Sacha Sauda is that spiritual activity by which God is worshipped under the guidance of the Satguru. This path of God realization has been coming down ages since the earliest times. Many saints and seers incarnated in this mortal world and inspired us to do this Sacha Sauda and became the guiding lights of spirtuality. These saints and seers were knowers of this supreme science and tried to make this mystical subject easy for the common man. One such torchbearer of spirituality was Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who did the most noble of services to mankind by establishing in 1948 the spiritual college of Dera Sacha Sauda in order to save people from the complexities, malpractices and superficial rituals that had been afflicting religion and for the salvation of souls.

Shahi Betiyan Basera : A Movement Against Female Foeticide

One of the most heinous evils of today’s society is the refusal of a family to accept a female child into its fold. The family resorts to killing the female foetus in the mother’s womb itself. Despite the fact that this is the worst kind of crime against humanity, no television channel, no political party, no social welfare organization and no religious institution has made a concerted effort to eradicate this evil from society. Hazoor Pita Ji has taken the initiative in this regard and has been asking people to stop committing this crime. Through his Satsangs that are regularly held in various cities, towns and remote rural areas, Pita Ji has been urging people to stop committing this crime by pleading to the humanity in them. He tells them that if they feel that a girl child would be a burden for them, then instead of killing her in the womb, allow her to be born, and to bring her to Dera Sacha Sauda after giving her the initial period of care that only a mother can give. At the Dera the children would be brought up at the Shahi Betiyan Basera which has been especially established for such girls. These girls are legally adopted by Hazoor Pita Ji himself and they are brought up in the most secure of environments with the best possible facilities. They also receive education that is on par with what the rest of the children of their age in society receive. Hazoor Pita Ji has already adopted 17 girl children, who are now leading a life of happiness and dignity and are moving towards the bright future that they truly deserve.
