October 30, 2008 (Barnawa, Uttar Pradesh): Sant Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Singh Ji Insan arrived from Sirsa at Shah Satnam Ji Ashram, Barnawa (UP) in the evening today. Guruji is to conduct a ruhani satsang at this ashram on Sunday. The arrival of Hazur Pitaji and this being the birth month of Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj combined to bring great joy to the faithful of Uttar Pradesh. Devotees danced merrily to the beats of the dhol and nagada and welcomed Guruji in their own traditional way. H.H. is visiting this ashram for the first time since April of this year.
Guruji in his discourse during the ruhani majlis held at the Barnawa ashram declared that if God is called upon with true longing, then even in this Kaliyug it presents for the individual soul visions of Sachkhand. When the individual soul cries out to God, “Hey Ram! Make my eyes such that in whichever direction I look I see only You and with every breath only Your Name is on my lips” – such a soul would behold Sachkhand/Nijdham even in this mortal world and receive that happiness which otherwise requires journeying through many a spiritual plane. H.H. further said that Fakirs come into this world only to connect man with God and they carry with them no other selfish motive. They show man the easy way of practicing devotion to God. Those who listen to saints and abide by their teachings, they indeed become worthy of the grace and blessings of God, while on the other hand God dislikes hypocrisy and superficiality in men.
Earlier on Thursday morning, Guruji started off from Shah Satnam Ji Dham, Sirsa for the ashram in Uttar Pradesh. On the way, in Fatehabad, H.H. met the faithful and gave them his precious instructions. He also met devotees at the Rohtak Naamcharcha Ghar. On this occasion, he invited everyone present to plant at least 12 trees each during the month of November. H.H. urged the faithful to work for their salvation by doing selfless service and practicing remembrance of Ram Naam, and assured them that by doing this God’s grace would surely descend upon them. He urged the devotees to awaken the powers of the soul through meditation and said that Ram Naam is the only way of protecting oneself from lust, anger, greed, infatuation, pride, the mind, and the delusion of this world. H.H. called upon the devotees to practice remembrance of Ram Naam all the time – whether they are sitting, standing, walking, resting, or doing anything else. H.H. said that the deeds that are done for the salvation of the soul are the only ones that fill one’s life with joy. The time that is spent in God’s name and in working for one’s salvation is straightaway accepted in God’s court and relieves the doer of all miseries and problems.
H.H. also sang a devotional song at the request of the faithful. After this, Guruji reached the Barnawa ashram in the evening. Preparations are in full swing in the ashram to celebrate the birth month of Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj.
