Sacha Sauda is not a new religion, cult, sect or wave. Sacha Sauda is that spiritual activity by which God is worshipped under the guidance of the Satguru. This path of God realization has been coming down ages since the earliest times. Many saints and seers incarnated in this mortal world and inspired us to do this Sacha Sauda and became the guiding lights of spirtuality. These saints and seers were knowers of this supreme science and tried to make this mystical subject easy for the common man. One such torchbearer of spirituality was Beparwah Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj who did the most noble of services to mankind by establishing in 1948 the spiritual college of Dera Sacha Sauda in order to save people from the complexities, malpractices and superficial rituals that had been afflicting religion and for the salvation of souls.

Biggest eye camp in DSS’s history

Sirsa (December 16, 2008):    The 17th Yaad-e-Murshid Eye Camp organised in remembrance of H.H. Shah Satnam Singh Ji, the second Guru of Dera Sacha Sauda, was extended by a day to accommodate for surgeries to be performed on more patients.  In this large-scale eye checkup and surgery camp organised under the guidance of H.H. Sant Gurmeet Ram-Rahim Singh Ji ‘Insan’, a record total of 1,142 surgeries will be performed.  This is the biggest ever eye camp organised by Dera Sacha Sauda in terms of number of surgeries.  Before this, in the year 2000, during the 9th Yaad-e-Murshid eye camp, 1,085 patients had been operated upon.

Specialist doctors from different parts of the country are providing their services in this camp originally meant for three days and being held at Shah Satnam Ji Dham, Sirsa. Out of the 1,142 patients selected for surgery, 494 are men and 648 are women.  At the time of filing this report, 1,105 patients had already been operated upon.  Also, a total of 6,975 patients were checked for eye-related diseases and given free medicines in the camp.  Food and accommodation for those selected for operations are being provided by Dera Sacha Sauda.  Thousands of people from various parts of the country had been arriving here at the Dera for the past few days to make use of the eye camp.

Guruji has been visiting the camp in the evenings, meeting the patients, enquiring about their well-being, and providing them with his blessings.
