Today on the occasion of the birthday congregation of the previous Saint Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji; Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan has solemnized the marriages of five ex- sex workers with Dera members who have vowed to eradicate forced prostitution. The marriages were solemnized in front of millions of devotees from all over the world gathered at Dera Sacha Sauda to cheer and be witness of this history in making. Guru ji designated these women as ‘Shubh Devi’ or means holy angel. Expressing happiness the family of ‘Bhagat Yodhas’ donated 3.33lakhs Rupees for Shah Satnam Green ‘S’ Welfare Force fund and also vowed to donate eyes and body post partum. Guru ji showered eternal blessings and 25,000 Rs. to each newly wedded pair to start the fresh beginning in their life.

Furthermore royal family showered rs. 1.25 lakh to these five pairs. 7 pair of suits, shoes and warn clothes etc. were given to 'Bhagat Yodhas' and to ‘Shubh Devis’ 25 suits, lehnga, warm cloths etc. were given to each. The poor and hapless women, who were exploited and abused by society, would be re-integrated into the social mainstream by this unique initiative. Human trafficking has caused a demonic ‘commodity’ -station of helpless girls who are often sold into this trade. Heeding to Guruji’s call to help those who are forced into prostitution, 1355 young men have stepped forward to marry and thus rehabilitate those who want to quit sex work and make a fresh beginning in life. Hundreds of families publicly committed to LEGALLY adopt them as their sisters and daughters. Likewise, scores of family have offered to legally adopt the children of unmarried sex workers, irrespective of their gender.
This event on 25th January will be unique and the first in history as millions of Dera members would be cheering and celebrating this groundbreaking event being marriages of ex-sex workers which coincides with Dera’s annual celebrations of Shah Satnamji’s birthday.
This is a unique move to counter the rapid spread of the HIV and serum Hepatitis epidemic apart from other sexually transmitted infections. By offering social amalgamation for those who are entrapped in this ignoble trade. He has also called upon those practicing prostitution to quit this life and return to the social fold and learn the art of living a holy life Saint Gurmeet Ram Rahim Ji Insan has proclaimed them in these marriage ceremonies as his own daughters to end all possibilities of stigma. Suitable measures have also been put into place to protect their identities.
Revered Guru Ji has designated these young men as “Bhagat Yodha” or Warrior Devotees and young women as ‘Shubh Devi’ or ‘holy angel’ who are laying the foundations of a healthy, equitable and compassionate social order.
